About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement sophisticated engineering solutions and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Design, install, and troubleshoot complex control systems and equipment
- Provide technical leadership and expertise for sophisticated projects and drive innovation within the plant
- Perform engineering studies, data analysis, and routine testing to resolve equipment settings and control points
- Manage change control activities, NCR/CAPA investigations, and validation protocols
- Coordinate with multi-functional teams to support product lines and manufacturing regulatory compliance
- Establish and control capital operating budgets for assigned projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar controls engineering role
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley Control Logix, AB500, and Safety PLCs
- Experience with Allen-Bradley HMI and robotics platforms such as Fanuc or Yaskawa
- Expertise in vision systems including Cognex or Keyence
- Strong electrical skills including E-Plan P8, AutoCAD, and the ability to read/draw schematics
- Deep understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, RS-232, Profibus, Fieldbus, and HSSB
- Familiarity with servo control systems, VFDs, motion control, and pneumatics
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on mechanical abilities
- Advanced AutoCAD drafting skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices
- Experience in the execution of validation protocols within a regulated environment
