About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement sophisticated engineering solutions and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Design, install, and troubleshoot complex control systems and equipment
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise for sophisticated projects and drive innovation within the plant
  • Perform engineering studies, data analysis, and routine testing to resolve equipment settings and control points
  • Manage change control activities, NCR/CAPA investigations, and validation protocols
  • Coordinate with multi-functional teams to support product lines and manufacturing regulatory compliance
  • Establish and control capital operating budgets for assigned projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar controls engineering role
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley Control Logix, AB500, and Safety PLCs
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley HMI and robotics platforms such as Fanuc or Yaskawa
  • Expertise in vision systems including Cognex or Keyence
  • Strong electrical skills including E-Plan P8, AutoCAD, and the ability to read/draw schematics
  • Deep understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, RS-232, Profibus, Fieldbus, and HSSB
  • Familiarity with servo control systems, VFDs, motion control, and pneumatics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on mechanical abilities
  • Advanced AutoCAD drafting skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices
  • Experience in the execution of validation protocols within a regulated environment
