About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as project manager for multiple programs, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets are met
- Negotiate and secure land agreements on behalf of clients for construction and operational needs
- Drive business development activities and identify new growth opportunities
- Oversee deed and title research, review title searches, and summarize rights accurately
- Act as a liaison between property owners and clients to resolve issues and facilitate agreements
- Prepare and submit permit applications for regulatory requirements, including road and rail crossings
- Supervise staff and third-party land agents to ensure high-quality delivery
- Manage project land budgets and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
- 6+ years of experience in land services, right-of-way acquisition, or related fields
- Proven expertise in the energy, oil & gas, or renewable energy sectors
- Demonstrated success in negotiating legal land agreements such as leases, grants, and fee purchases
- Strong project and budget management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for engaging with private, corporate, and government stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive business development and client engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with title research, land valuation studies, and permitting processes
