Principal Consultant - Data Centres & Digital Infrastructure Advisory

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical and commercial due diligence for hyperscale, colocation, and edge data centre platforms.
• Assess data centre design and operational performance, including power infrastructure, cooling systems, IT load capacity, and uptime standards.
• Support investment cases by providing capex benchmarking, lifecycle cost analysis, and expansion strategy insights.
• Advise on asset management practices and risk identification across digital infrastructure portfolios.
• Provide technical input for bids and proposals to strengthen competitive positioning.
• Engage with senior clients to present findings that influence major investment and financing decisions.
• Work on cross-sector projects involving telecoms, fibre networks, and energy interfaces.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data centres or digital infrastructure within engineering consultancy, advisory, or owner/operator environments.
• Strong technical understanding of data centre design, including power, cooling, redundancy, and scalability.
• Experience performing technical due diligence or investment advisory for infrastructure assets.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for engaging with senior leadership.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model and participate in international projects and site visits as required.
