Principal Consultant - Commercial Management

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership and delivery oversight for the UK&I Transport & Infrastructure PMO GCC team.
• Lead the GCC Commercial & QS team, driving resource planning, workload allocation, and delivery governance.
• Manage contract administration across projects in line with NEC, JCT, and FIDIC standards.
• Oversee change control, including pricing, tracking, forecasting, compensation events, and variations.
• Lead RIBA Stage 0–4 cost planning, including benchmarking, allowances, and risk adjustments.
• Ensure preparation and review of BoQs aligned to NRM and CESMM standards.
• Drive digital transformation by championing CostX (2D/3D/5D) and 5D/BIM-enabled commercial workflows.
• Manage commercial risks, opportunities, and entitlement claims while maintaining risk registers.
• Act as the key commercial interface between GCC and UK stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or Commercial Management.
• At least 5 years of experience with UK-based projects.
• Proven experience in UK–India delivery models and interfacing with UK stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts, as well as NRM and CESMM measurement standards.
• Advanced proficiency in CostX (2D/3D/5D) and MS Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables).
• Experience leading multi-project teams and managing delivery governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional membership or qualification such as RICS or APM.
• Experience working on Rail, Roads, Civils, Water, or large-scale Infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to ERP systems and structured cost databases.
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboarding and reporting.
