Principal Commercial Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise semantic layer strategy for commercial analytics, establishing long-term vision for metric governance and consumption.
• Own the global self-service analytics strategy, defining operating models and tooling standards to enable independent insight delivery.
• Establish UX/UI standards and design principles for commercial analytics interfaces to ensure intuitive and performant reporting.
• Lead the integration of agentic AI within the commercial analytics platform, defining how AI agents consume and augment governed semantic assets.
• Partner with Commercial Data Product Strategy to co-own the enterprise business glossary, metric registry, and KPI frameworks.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and mentor analysts to foster a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis.
• Deep expertise in enterprise semantic layer design and governance (e.g., LookML/Looker, AtScale, dbt Metrics, Power BI Semantic Models).
• Advanced SQL skills and strong working knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Proven track record driving enterprise-scale self-service analytics programs.
• Deep understanding of commercial data domains including revenue, pipeline, forecasting, and pricing.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience in MedTech, Life Sciences, or similarly regulated commercial environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML output visualization and decision intelligence use cases.
• Experience leading global analytics programs across multiple regions and business units.
