Principal Cloud Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Act as the Senior Architect for the Public Cloud team, mentoring and managing architects and providing oversight on proposals.
• Drive application architecture solution design, ensuring technology alignment with agreed architecture principles.
• Engage directly with clients to understand business needs, present solutions, and lead commercial negotiations and BAFO.
• Craft compelling, well-structured proposals and responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Support bids by shaping solution designs, effort estimates, and transition plans.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure seamless handovers from presales to delivery.
• Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting new technologies such as AI, automation, and cloud-native platforms.
• Track and report on presales activities and outcomes to drive continuous performance enhancement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud presales.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure solutions and public cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of Application Modernisation and cloud technologies.
• Proven track record of leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure architecture certifications.
• Experience with AWS or GCP as alternative cloud platforms.
