Principal Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications
• Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and manage Kubernetes-based deployments across cloud environments
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD and Helm
• Drive system design decisions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
• Mentor engineering teams on best practices in cloud architecture and development
• Optimize application performance, cost efficiency, and operational reliability

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development
• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Proficiency with Helm and Argo CD
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns, scalability, and resilience design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio
• Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
• Experience working in high-scale enterprise environments
