Principal Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive holistic design and patterns for secure cloud application development, including full-stack development, application architecture, and data services.
• Architect and implement scalable cloud solutions and programmatic integrations for banking applications.
• Review application solution designs for cloud-fit and automate deployment patterns to ensure reusability.
• Consult with Lines of Business to refactor applications for the cloud using 12-factor development practices and microservices architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders to create cloud migration strategies and infrastructure roadmaps.
• Document best practices, recommendations, and maintain technical templates.
• Lead meetings with subject matter experts across infrastructure, operations, and vendors to coordinate migrations and resource requirements.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience designing and configuring secure, scalable cloud applications on AWS.
• Deep understanding of cloud design patterns, Cloud Native Architecture, and cloud security models.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and Shell Scripting.
• Proven experience architecting high-volume, high-availability cloud applications with high levels of automation.
• Expertise in cloud services including application development, integration, functions, cloud databases, and identity management.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to interface with both technical and business stakeholders.
