Principal, Climate Practice

Responsibilities

• Shape the long-term strategic agenda for the Climate Practice, focusing on decarbonization, energy transitions, circularity, and climate justice.
• Drive ecosystem engagement by influencing global policy stakeholders, philanthropic funders, industry leaders, and community-based organizations.
• Lead business development efforts by identifying market opportunities, shaping technical proposals, and designing new solution offerings.
• Provide high-level technical guidance to project teams on climate risk assessments, emissions modeling, and resilience strategies.
• Act as a thought leader by creating frameworks, case studies, and knowledge assets to position the firm as a credible climate partner.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams to deepen technical fluency in climate science, policy, and market trends.

Requirements

• 15 to 19+ years of experience in climate action, sustainability, decarbonization, climate policy, ESG, or related domains.
• Proven track record of designing or guiding large-scale climate programs across mitigation, adaptation, or circularity.
• Extensive experience engaging with government bodies, multilaterals, corporates, and philanthropic funders.
• Strong theoretical grounding in climate science combined with a market-oriented and commercial mindset.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence high-level ecosystem actors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in specialized areas such as green hydrogen, nature-based solutions, blended finance, or carbon markets.
• Experience navigating international climate frameworks and global policy processes (e.g., COP, UNFCCC).
• Ability to translate complex scientific data into actionable advisory for corporate and government clients.
