About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform thermomechanical characterization of sub-assemblies and silicon dies
- Execute failure analysis and debug activities on sub-assemblies
- Diagnose failures using root cause analysis tools like fishbone diagrams, hypothesis tables, and 8D approach
- Utilize failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
- Process data using Python, MATLAB, and JMP
- Manage back-end semiconductor assembly processes including die attach, wire-bonding, and AOI
- Conduct characterization in mechanical vibrations, thermography, and mechanical load testing
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical Engineering or Applied Physics
- 10+ years of experience in debugging complex failure analysis in opto-mechanical assembly
- Proficiency in data processing tools such as Python, MATLAB, or JMP
- Experience with semiconductor packaging and inspection equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide technical leadership in ambiguous situations
