Principal Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage carrier portfolios and develop strategic partners
• Drive freight tenders to achieve commercial agreements with accountable suppliers
• Support network projects and global freight-related initiatives
• Prepare, negotiate, document, store, and maintain contracts and rate sheets
• Monitor compliance to corporate standards
• Act as an extended arm for global contracts supporting ocean and airfreight topics for the North American region

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Program Management, Materials/Logistics, or Supply Chain
• 8+ years of experience in purchasing or project management roles
• Proven track record in negotiation and decision-making within a matrix team
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• SAP experience is preferred
• Fluency in English
• Strong written, communication, and organizational skills
