Principal Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end analysis across large, complex transformation programmes
• Translate business needs into detailed functional, non-functional, and integration requirements
• Define system interactions across the enterprise ecosystem, including APIs and integrations
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure requirements are clear and testable
• Lead workshops to shape requirements and drive business process change
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders to influence decisions with structured insights
• Ensure solutions align with customer outcomes and regulatory expectations

Requirements

• Experience delivering within complex environments such as utilities or energy
• Proven ability to translate business needs into structured technical requirements
• Experience working with technical teams, architecture concepts, and system interactions
• Proficiency in both Agile and traditional delivery environments
• Strong communication skills to simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• BA certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA)
• Experience with Design Thinking or Human-Centred Design
• Familiarity with BPMN or process mapping
