Principal BIM Modeller

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality 3D BIM models using Civil 3D, Revit, and Plant 3D for the UK iCRC Water team.
• Perform various 3D CAD modeling assignments under minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with Senior Design Engineers and BIM Leads to gather information for model preparation and drawing generation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to convert technical information into layout designs and models.
• Decipher information from various formats including hand sketches, BIM Execution Plans, and architectural drawings.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and Revit interference checks, including exporting and reviewing reports.
• Assist in the production of 2D sheets, such as plans, sections, and details, from 3D/4D multi-discipline models.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
• Proficiency in core 3D CADD applications including Revit, Civil 3D, and Plant 3D.
• Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and interference checking.
• Proven ability to produce 2D sheets (plans, sections, elevations, and details) from 3D models.
• Strong technical understanding of standards and norms pertaining to the UK Water Industry.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or with moderate supervision in an international environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within infrastructure projects, specifically Water Treatment Plants (WTP) or Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP).
• Experience leading modeling tasks and coordinating with clients to meet schedule and budget requirements.
