Principal ATLO Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of satellite programs from assembly through launch
• Utilize statistical and analytical tools to monitor performance metrics of teams and product execution plans
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and guide troubleshooting for critical non-conformances and Failure Review Boards
• Act as a signature authority on corporate processes, including quality management system updates and design reviews
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on end-stage satellite testing, such as environmental testing (EMI/C, Dynamics, TVAC) and launch integration campaigns
• Drive improvements to increase production throughput, reduce build hours, and remove waste from complex processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 14+ years of related work experience in spacecraft manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or test engineering
• Experience working on constellation spacecraft or managing multiple production vehicles
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
• Proficiency in tracking tools including MRP/ERP, Jira, MS Project, and PLM/Teamcenter
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in space systems
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Experience working with a union-represented workforce
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior leadership and customers
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and travel to launch sites to support critical mission milestones
