Principal Associate, Content Strategist (Tech Blogs)

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for the external-facing Capital One Tech Blog to align with Brand and stakeholder objectives
• Lead program management for the blog, including submission tracking, review status, and capacity planning
• Review content for SEO, GEO, and AEO optimizations to drive organic audience growth
• Manage the publishing process by inputting and performing QA on content within the CMS
• Own publishing and reporting across syndicate channels, including Medium
• Build relationships with technologists across the company to foster a robust roster of engaged authors
• Manage a cross-channel editorial calendar and collaborate with creative teams on graphic needs
• Set benchmarks for article success and report performance metrics through regular cycles

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• 4+ years of content strategy experience specifically for a technical audience
• 2+ years of experience writing and editing technical, scientific, or engineering content
• 2+ years of experience publishing content using content management systems (CMS)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with strategic Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Knowledge of technology fundamentals such as AI/ML, cloud computing, software engineering, or data management
• Experience in tech marketing
• Strong ability to analyze content analytics to provide evidence-based recommendations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and partner with senior stakeholders
