Principal Architect, Wired Network Architecture and Planning

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate guiding architecture principles for the sector and subsidiaries
• Forecast and influence strategies and architectures to minimize internal and external issues
• Use innovative methods to solve complex problems beyond existing solutions
• Lead wired network projects with significant company impact
• Act as an internal and external reference and participate in various industry committees
• Define, direct, and approve architecture principles, targets, and development plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or telecommunications
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in wired technology telecommunications and in an architect role
• Membership in the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
• Strong knowledge of optical transport systems, IP networks and protocols, and mobile/wired networks (Cable and Fiber to the Home)
• Intermediate proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Strong communication skills and discretion
• Proficiency in investment evaluation concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate university studies
• Certifications for Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, or Ericsson products
