Principal Architect

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the current technology landscape and recommend a forward-looking technology strategic vision.
• Act as a trusted thought partner to senior technical leaders at client sites, providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions.
• Lead large-scale delivery programs, ensuring end-to-end ownership of solution execution, quality, and timelines.
• Drive program-level governance, including risk mitigation and stakeholder communication across workstreams.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership during critical delivery phases, including architecture validation and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with offshore delivery teams and multidisciplinary groups to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
• Mentor engineering teams to foster strong practices, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Native technologies, specifically within big data, analytics, and AI/ML domains.
• Extensive expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Data Flow, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, and Dataproc.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple end-to-end Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics projects.
• Strong knowledge of Data Management and Data Governance.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Java.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven systems, and event streaming architectures.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
• Experience with container technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices on GCP.
• Experience with AWS, particularly in hybrid cloud environments.
