Responsibilities
- Set company-level technical direction for domain-specific model strategy
- Architect the agentic model development paradigm and research infrastructure
- Lead research on model adaptation, data curation, and post-training methods
- Shape model strategy across all company domains and verticals
- Define evaluation strategy, including benchmark design and robustness standards
- Lead cross-cutting research initiatives to multiply organizational capability
- Influence platform-level decisions regarding model lifecycle and integration
- Mentor senior researchers and raise technical standards
- Maintain hands-on research impact through technical work and publications
Requirements
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or a related field
- 10+ years in AI/ML research with a track record of production impact
- 4+ years developing LLM-based systems
- Mastery of the full model development lifecycle (pre-training, SFT, alignment)
- Experience designing rigorous evaluation methodologies
- Experience training models on large GPU clusters using distributed frameworks
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
- Proven strategic leadership in shaping research direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building domain-specialized models that outperform general-purpose models
- Hands-on experience with post-training methods like RLHF or DPO
- Deep experience in data curation and mixture design
- Track record of designing evaluation frameworks for regulated industries
- Publication record at top-tier research venues
- Experience moving model research from prototype to commercial production
- Domain expertise in energy, semiconductor, finance, aerospace, or supply chain
