Principal Application Engineer – Ethernet Products

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support and system solutions for Automotive Ethernet switches and PHYs, with a focus on software.
• Develop and update firmware code and Ethernet communication devices to meet specific customer configuration needs.
• Lead the development of customer enablement tools and configuration software for generic switch functions and customized applications.
• Create technical documentation including application notes, white papers, FAQs, and product training materials.
• Initiate and lead the development of reference designs and system solution demonstrators in collaboration with internal teams and external third parties.
• Conduct technical trainings and workshops for automotive manufacturers and electronic subsystem suppliers in China.
• Support local team leadership through customer POCs, design-in projects, and industry conferences.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in hardware and embedded software development using automotive semiconductors and electronics.
• Deep knowledge of microcontrollers, with a strong preference for the S32 family.
• Profound software proficiency in C/C++, Low Level Drivers, RTOS, Linux, and Python.
• Solid understanding of Ethernet network implementations, including switches and physical layer products.
• Hands-on experience implementing time synchronization and TSN protocols in Ethernet networks.
• Experience with high-bandwidth communication technologies such as PCIe, Software Defined Networking, or optical fiber solutions.
• Master or PhD degree in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
