About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on the design, modeling, and verification of advanced Low Observable antennas, conformal apertures, and ultra-wideband phased arrays
- Lead design teams through architecture trades, detailed EM analysis, and the integration of antenna, RCS, structural, and thermal requirements
- Use full-wave computational EM tools such as HFSS, CST, or FEKO to model antenna performance and RCS signatures
- Develop and refine antenna design concepts considering gain, bandwidth, scan performance, and signature objectives
- Collaborate with systems engineering to define RF and RCS requirements and support architecture-level trade studies
- Work hands-on with operations and test personnel to fabricate prototypes, debug hardware, and support manufacturing
- Mentor peers and early-career engineers in advanced EM modeling, LO techniques, and prototyping
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant RF engineering experience
- Expertise in Radar Cross Section (RCS) modeling, prediction, or reduction
- Proficiency with EM modeling tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, or equivalent
- Experience with the design, fabrication, and test of conformal antennas or phased array apertures
- Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required on day one
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in electromagnetics or antennas
- Experience leading technical proposal efforts or contract R&D programs
- Familiarity with structural, thermal, or materials relevant to LO apertures
- Proven ability to present complex technical data to leadership and customers
