Principal Algorithm Engineer/Robotics Algorithm Lead

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimize SLAM, motion control, path planning, and behavioral decision-making algorithms for AMR and robotics platforms
• Lead the integration of multi-modal sensor data including iTOF, RGB, LiDAR, and IMU for robust perception and navigation
• Drive innovation in embedded Edge AI using GPU-accelerated frameworks like CUDA, cuVSLAM, and machine learning/reinforcement learning
• Oversee low-level motor control development and system-level AI integration
• Utilize 2D/3D simulation platforms such as Gazebo, MuJoCo, or IsaacSim for algorithm validation and deployment
• Mentor engineering talent and collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams
• Engage with customers to translate technical challenges into scalable, high-impact solutions

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in robotics algorithm development, specifically focusing on AMR, SLAM, and embedded systems
• Advanced proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS/ROS2
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and various simulation platforms
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade algorithms and hardware-software solutions
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor technical teams and communicate complex ideas

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale industrial or commercial robotics deployments
• Prior patent filings, research publications, or open-source contributions in robotics and AI
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in the robotics industry
