Principal AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the hands-on development, deployment, and continuous improvement of sophisticated AI-driven features within the Galaxy ecosystem.
• Architect and scale modern, distributed AI systems, including training pipelines, streaming data processing, and MLOps infrastructure.
• Design and build production AI/ML models focusing on NLP, Deep Learning, Recommender Systems, LLMs, and Generative AI.
• Deploy intelligent, autonomous AI agents and multi-agent systems capable of complex reasoning and decision-making.
• Optimize cloud-native AI workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and Spark across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Establish gold standards for AI safety, fairness, and explainability through rigorous evaluation protocols and bias detection.
• Champion software engineering excellence by driving best practices in secure coding, peer review, and responsible AI design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML applications at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML model development (NLP, LLMs, Generative AI) and cloud production environments.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++.
• Advanced experience with ML frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and containerization using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Solid understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, and scalable data engineering (ETL, batch, and stream processing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in HR tech, SaaS, or enterprise software environments.
• Experience with vector databases such as FAISS or Pinecone.
• Knowledge of multi-agent orchestration and prompt engineering.
