Principal AI & Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable, modular, and AI-augmented test automation frameworks for cloud-native, microservices-based broadband systems
• Design self-healing and adaptive test systems using AI/ML techniques such as anomaly detection and flaky test prediction
• Implement shift-left and shift-right QA strategies across the entire SDLC and production monitoring pipelines
• Lead automation efforts for DOCSIS and PON platforms within the vCMTS ecosystem
• Integrate QA into DevOps/MLOps pipelines to enable continuous testing and automated feedback loops
• Develop predictive quality analytics tools to identify risks and failure patterns before production impact
• Mentor junior engineers on modern QA practices, Python architecture, and AI-driven automation strategies

Requirements

• Extensive experience building enterprise-grade, extensible automation frameworks
• Proficiency in Linux/Ubuntu environments and automation scripting using Python, Go, or Shell
• Hands-on experience with traffic generation and network test tools (e.g., IXIA, ByteBlower)
• Proven ability to integrate AI/ML into QA workflows for test optimization and intelligent test selection
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git)
• Expertise in anomaly detection within logs, metrics, and network traffic
• Ability to analyze packet captures and validate end-to-end system performance at scale

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native test infrastructure
• Deep understanding of networking protocols including TCP/UDP, BGP, ISIS, and HTTP/S
• Expertise in software architecture and design patterns applied to test systems
• Familiarity with observability stacks (logs, metrics, tracing) and MLOps workflows
