Primary School Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide qualified subject instruction for grades 1-2 (Flexklasse) as well as grades 3 and 4
• Assume classroom leadership responsibilities for grades 1 through 4
• Participate actively in subject groups and potentially take on subject leadership roles
• Lead extracurricular activities and interest groups
• Plan and organize extracurricular activities such as class trips, excursions, and special projects
• Assist in the organization and implementation of school events
• Contribute to the dynamic ongoing development of the school

Requirements

• Completed teaching degree (second state examination) specifically for primary school
• Two years of professional work experience or completion of a continuous two-year traineeship
• High level of intercultural sensitivity and enjoyment working in an international team
• Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and reliability
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, parents, and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or language-sensitive instruction (DFU)
• Interest in competency-oriented teaching using cooperative and open learning forms
