Primary School SPED Teacher

Responsibilities

• Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that helps students meet IEP goals and access grade-level curriculum
• Develop and execute SPED IEP goals in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Use data and assessments to drive instructional decisions and manage individual student progress
• Maintain accurate records, including service logs, files, and student assignment/exam grades
• Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and the Special Education Director
• Implement diverse instructional methods such as co-teaching, push-in, and pull-out models
• Participate in professional development and school committee work to support continuous growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• California Education Specialist Credential (mild/mod and mod/severe)
• Demonstrated mastery of classroom management, planning, and assessment
• Experience with IEP writing and Special Education reporting software
• Proficiency with various educational technologies and teaching tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual ability
• Familiarity with SIRAS and RTI models
