Primary Care Physician Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in clinic (approx. 30 hours/week)
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of physicians, PAs, and NPs
• Drive quality improvement projects and innovation initiatives
• Partner with Clinic Manager to uphold standards of care, safety, and patient experience
• Manage financial accountability including clinic billing, payer guidelines, and P&L management
• Interview, onboard, and mentor clinicians to ensure success and retention
• Perform regular chart audits and one-to-one clinician evaluations
• Oversee payroll targets and manage clinician schedules

Requirements

• MD/DO with active state license
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Minimum 2 years of experience in FM/IM or similar setting
• At least 1 year of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
• Ability to treat patients 18+ and perform basic women's health exams
• Familiarity with financial statements and HR processes
• BLS certification required
