About the role
Responsibilities
- Room patients and record vital signs in the EMR
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient portal setup
- Obtain blood samples via venipuncture and administer IM injections
- Perform EMR data entry and prep visit records with preventative maintenance flags
- Review medications, update lists, and prepare refill orders for provider signature
- Ensure forms, consents, and billing requests are completed
- Clean and disinfect examination rooms
- Assist with chronic disease management and population health outreach
- Manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment
- Communicate patient care needs to providers
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Certification program
- Phlebotomy training and venipuncture skills
- Concierge-level customer service and strong work ethic
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification or diploma
- Passage of pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Eligibility to work in the US
