About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to pediatric patients from birth to 21 years of age
- Manage well care, developmental surveillance, and chronic condition management
- Perform evaluations for acute illness and provide appropriate counseling on vaccines and mental health screenings
- Collaborate with pediatricians and the practice care team to promote optimum care for patients and families
- Advocate for the medical needs of patients and families within the health system
- Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and primary care-based research initiatives
- Support the care team through evening, weekend, and after-hours on-call responsibilities
