Primary Care APP

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to pediatric patients from birth to 21 years of age
• Manage well care, developmental surveillance, and chronic condition management
• Perform evaluations for acute illness and provide appropriate counseling on vaccines and mental health screenings
• Collaborate with pediatricians and the practice care team to promote optimum care for patients and families
• Advocate for the medical needs of patients and families within the health system
• Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and primary care-based research initiatives
• Support the care team through evening, weekend, and after-hours on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Advanced formal education in nursing
• Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
• Clinical experience in pediatrics
• Ability to handle evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities
