Preventative Maintenance Technician - Electrician

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe campus environment by ensuring all electrical circuits, equipment, and systems are functioning properly.
• Install and repair electrical circuits, equipment, systems, sensors, fixtures, and programming.
• Manage electrical projects, including material procurement, resource planning, and reviewing blueprints.
• Perform corrective, preventative, and troubleshooting maintenance on all equipment.
• Install and repair data and telephone wiring, including telephone panels.
• Maintain exterior lighting, conduit, and parking lot lights.
• Assist HVAC staff with wiring controls.
• Respond to on-call and after-hours emergencies and assist with event setups as needed.
• Complete work orders thoroughly and establish priorities based on campus needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional electrical experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong ability to read and understand basic drawings and blueprints.
• Demonstrated proficiency with specialized power equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work up to 85 feet off the ground on a lift.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License.
• General knowledge and understanding of other trades.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, internet, and email applications.
