About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work orders on HVAC, steam, commercial refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
  • Conduct system inspections, document conditions, and communicate needs for component repair or replacement.
  • Calibrate system controls and thermostats to ensure consistency with sequences of operations.
  • Execute minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs, including faucets, ballasts, and thermostats.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as draining/charging coils and checking for leaks.
  • Take and record readings of gauges, meters, and instruments to analyze equipment performance.
  • Conduct water chemical and quality tests and adjust chemicals accordingly.
  • Maintain clean and orderly equipment, tools, and mechanical work areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Three years of experience in building equipment maintenance or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders and aerial work platforms (e.g., boom or scissor lifts).
  • Ability to pass a standard half-face mask respirator fit-test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Participation in technical training courses involving HVAC.
