Pressure Vessel and Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the Cold Box Engineering team by developing and executing strategic repair plans in conformance with project definitions, design standards, and safety codes.
• Develop fabrication drawings and construction submittals following engineering direction and specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• Assist in field and shop inspection trips as required by project-specific needs.
• Collaborate with various departments throughout the organization to provide technical and engineering support.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of industry standards, safety guidelines, and best practices.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering (BSME preferred).
• 0-2 years of experience in piping design, plant design, Air Separation Units, Cold Box design, or Pressure Vessel design.
• Knowledge of piping materials and their application/specification.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritize work with minimal direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Cold Box design.
• Knowledge of chemical plant operations and direct customer interface experience.
• Familiarity with design Codes and Standards, including ASME, ASTM, and ANSI.
