Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Manage all steps in the extrusion and press operation process, including monitoring run schedules and maintaining mixer levels
• Ensure appropriate flour/water ratios per recipe settings and monitor equipment such as spreaders, diffusers, and blowers
• Perform quality checks at all stages of drying to monitor for length, color, lumps, and splits, taking corrective measures as needed
• Use computers and tools to record machine readings and report abnormal data to supervisors to prevent waste
• Maintain cleanliness of machine areas, floors, and bins in accordance with food safety standards
• Execute die changes and assist with machinery cleaning and maintenance
• Complete machine logs and work order requests to track downtime and ensure machine uptime

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in environments with dust, high heat, or humidity
• Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit, and kneel for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
