Press Helper

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting printed sheets to ensure color registration matches samples and specifications
• Perform press operation duties during operator breaks, lunches, and PTO
• Maintain cleanliness and operation of the press, including washing blankets and plates
• Prepare roll-stock for printing by opening rolls and placing them onto the splicer
• Assist in job make-ready processes, such as removing ink and washing fountains and rollers
• Place printed sheets into boxes and move 50-pound boxes onto pallets for staging
• Enter machine codes, material codes, quantities, and time periods accurately into production records
• Perform autonomous maintenance duties on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of prior production machine operating experience
• Ability to identify colors and imperfections
• Strong analytical skills and independent thinking
• Ability to lift and move 50-pound boxes
• Ability to operate press equipment without direct supervision
