Press Brake Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates
• Prepare, set up, and adjust the press brake as required by product plans and production schedules
• Ensure sufficient raw materials are available and measure/align materials for use
• Inspect finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on the press brake and maintain a clean work area

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate press brake controls
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
• Ability to pass a background check and negative drug/alcohol test
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Knowledge of different metal types, properties, and bending techniques
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S methodologies
