Press Assistant

Responsibilities

• Ensure paper or raw materials are loaded into feeders, hoppers, and bins to maintain constant flow
• Make equipment adjustments such as feeder mechanisms based on paper size
• Deliver equipment components like plates or spray heads for installation
• Recycle old or discarded plates
• Provide basic assistance for equipment make-ready operations
• Assist with retrieving, hanging, and recycling plates

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials
• Ability to follow instructions for press setup, operation, and maintenance
• Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms
