Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement an educational program in accordance with school policies and philosophy
• Create, maintain, and organize age-appropriate learning materials
• Modify programs to meet the needs of children with special interests, talents, or learning styles
• Observe and evaluate children to provide for individual and group developmental needs
• Communicate daily with parents and staff regarding student progress and school philosophy
• Supervise children in the classroom and on the playground to ensure safety and proper care
• Assist children with daily routines including nap time, feeding, and toileting
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and organized classroom environment
• Participate in staff meetings and professional growth activities

Requirements

• 12 units or more in Early Childhood education classes
• One year of experience teaching preschool-aged children
• Valid California driver’s license and a safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of experience working with infants and/or toddlers
