Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children are treated with dignity, respect, and care
• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs
• Greet children and families daily to establish professional, welcoming relationships
• Recognize and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs
• Follow all safety and supervision protocols, including Name-to-Face accountability and Safe Sleep practices
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using approved tools and systems
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions

Requirements

• Meet all state licensing qualifications and minimum experience requirements for a Teacher in a licensed childcare center
• Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, as shifts and start/end times may vary based on operational needs
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Previous experience in an early childhood or group care setting
