Preschool Assistant Director

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20–40 educators to uphold excellence in child development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and high-quality preschool environment for children to learn and grow.
• Build and maintain strong, open connections with parents, staff, and children through regular communication and meetings.
• Ensure 100% compliance with state licensing, safety, sanitation, and federal regulations.
• Drive financial success and manage school operations, including marketing events and community outreach.
• Spearhead hiring, training, and performance reviews to guide staff professional growth.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in childcare or early childhood education.
• 3–5 years of hands-on teaching experience.
• EEC Director II Certification.
• Educational background meeting state standards: Bachelor’s degree with 6+ months in group childcare, a BS in Early Childhood Education, or an Associate’s degree with 1+ year of supervisory experience and 2+ years in group childcare.
• Deep knowledge of national/state education standards, licensing, fire, health, and OSHA regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years old and meet state licensing requirements, including criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
