Preparation Technician, Jr.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mineral samples (coal, iron ore, limestone, petroleum coke, etc.) by crushing using various models
• Transfer and label samples with date and associated paperwork
• File and locate samples
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on preparation equipment
• Accurately record all data associated with sample preparation
• Ensure equipment and containers are organized and cleaned
• Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required
• Valid and current Driver’s license
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card)
• Intermediate English proficiency
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year working in industrial, lab, or field settings
• Experience following strict safety standards
• Intermediate MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel)
