About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance work on plant equipment including pumps, dryers, screens, cyclones, and piping
- Maintain conveyors and material handling chutes
- Perform welding and use of acetylene/oxygen torches
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, and boom trucks to assist in maintenance
- Stage parts and prepare tools for upcoming maintenance tasks
- Perform fabrication work
- Assist in production roles as needed
- Utilize computer skills for plant operation and train load out
Requirements
- Kentucky Surface Miner Certification
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to climb and work on ladders, catwalks, man-lifts, and stairways
- Ability to work in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in plant maintenance
- Surface foreman papers
- Electrical card
