Prep Cook & Utility Worker

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients for service
• Prepare simple menu items such as sandwiches, wraps, and salads
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
• Load and unload dish machines, and properly store clean dishes, pots, and pans
• Stock supplies and ingredients for upcoming shifts
• Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen, dish room, walk‑ins, and waste areas
• Dispose of trash and recycling and rinse containers as needed
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth operations

Requirements

• No previous kitchen experience required; prior food service experience preferred
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and teamwork
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to lift 10-20 lbs. numerous times and up to 50 lbs. several times per day
• Ability to push or pull a cart up to 70 lbs. frequently
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot and humid environment
