About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion made from scratch foods for daily service
- Follow State, Federal and Local food safety guidelines
- Follow recipes accurately, including changing quantities for batched recipes
- Ensure proper portioning and cooking of all menu items
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Communicate effectively with the Chef to ensure smooth daily operations
- Perform daily preparation of orders as needed on the line
Requirements
- Ability to work safely in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Understanding of standardized recipes and cooking terminology
- Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, and volume
- Familiarity with food allergens and dietary restrictions
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with kitchen operations and scratch cooking
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Proficiency in creating visual food presentations
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
