Prep Cook

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of ingredients including chopping, slicing, dicing, and marinating
• Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste
• Organize and stock ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food quality and freshness
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and labeling
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow
• Assist with opening, closing, and dishwashing duties as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume environment
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for long periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
