About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepares, portions, and labels ingredients according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Ensures all prep areas and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and organized according to company policies and OSHA standards
- Practices safe handling, storage, and rotation of all food items (FIFO)
- Assists line cooks and chefs with basic preparation tasks as needed
- Maintains proper labeling and dating of all prepared items
- Supports receiving and storage of deliveries, including stocking and verifying product quality
- Communicates product shortages or equipment issues to kitchen leadership
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the USA
- High School diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- 0–2 years of related kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to follow directions and complete repetitive tasks efficiently
- Strong time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs
