Prep Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep
• Undertake basic cooking duties, such as light frying and grilling
• Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees
• Ensure items are properly cut, labeled, dated, and stored to maintain freshness and compliance
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces and managing waste
• Adhere to all relevant sanitary regulations and standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience as a prep cook
• Proficient knife skills (cutting, chopping, and slicing)
• Ability to pass ServSafe certification within one year of hiring
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling

Preferred Qualifications

• Training from a culinary school
