Premises Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality checks of the premises to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality
• Carry out minor repairs including replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky taps, patching walls, and repairing door hardware
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and liaise with external contractors for larger repairs
• Support school staff with porterage tasks such as moving furniture, mounting displays, and delivering parcels
• Maintain site security by opening and locking gates, patrolling the premises, and ensuring safety doors are secured

Requirements

• Previous experience in premises management, facilities maintenance, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to identify potential hazards
• Capability to handle physical tasks safely, including moving heavy equipment and furniture
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff
• Flexibility to prioritize tasks effectively and work outside regular hours when required
