Premises Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all people management aspects of the premises team, including recruitment, performance management, training, and scheduling.
• Supervise work completed by outside agencies and contractors on the premises and grounds.
• Oversee the production and delivery of a planned programme of maintenance, repair, and decoration for both primary and secondary sites.
• Ensure all facilities for teaching and learning are high quality and that sites comply with the highest levels of security and safeguarding.
• Manage site-related health and safety systems and processes, ensuring high standards and regular reporting.
• Oversee academy vehicle maintenance, site security (opening/closing), and the management of community bookings.
• Manage premises budgets to ensure best value for money.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
• Proven experience in team management and supervising staff.
• Technical training or sound experience in plumbing, electrical/building maintenance, or heating systems.
• Experience in budget management and managing service level agreements.
• Experience working within an educational establishment or with young people.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.
