Premier Cook

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Prepare hot side dishes according to menu requirements
• Ensure all food preparation meets quality and safety standards
• Monitor and record food temperatures in the appropriate logs
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas
• Manage food storage and proper stock rotation
• Perform monthly inventory counts and assist with food ordering
• Execute tasks safely and report any incidents immediately

Requirements

• Diploma in hospitality, catering, or equivalent training/experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional kitchen experience
• MAPAQ certification (handler and/or manager)
• Bilingual in French and English
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night)
• Experience in remote camp environments or the natural resources sector is an asset

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in isolated environments or mining camps
• Strong leadership skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently
