PreMedia Operator

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare customer-supplied digital files for printing to ensure accurate formatting and production readiness
• Read job tickets, customer notes, and digital paperwork to execute specific project requirements
• Prepare imposition layouts and create proofs for customer approval
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during the prepress process
• Work closely with CSRs and production staff to ensure project quality
• Maintain department equipment and ensure all projects meet high quality standards
• Monitor the prepress dashboard daily to manage job priorities
• Maintain digital paperwork and follow all required safety procedures

Requirements

• Working knowledge of both Macintosh and Windows operating systems
• Proficiency in prepress software, including Adobe Creative Suite and RIP software
• Experience with imposition and preflight checks
• Familiarity with printing processes and file preparation
• Previous experience or formal education in Graphic Arts or a related field
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and learn new processes quickly
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Proficiency with Enfocus PitStop or OneVision Asura
• Experience using Kodak Prinergy Workflow, including Preps Imposition
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
