PreHealth Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide advising services to a caseload of approximately 500 students and alumni regarding preparation for health professional schools
• Assist students with goal-setting, academic planning, and identifying relevant experiential opportunities
• Guide advisees through the application process, including personal statements and school list reviews
• Support the Program's Application Readiness Program and manage the letter verification and compilation process
• Assist with application workshops, elective courses, admissions visits, and special campus events
• Maintain regular contact with advisees to share news, opportunities, and track pathway progress

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to relate empathetically and realistically to students, parents, and alumni
• Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in the sciences, health, education, counseling, or a similar field
• Previous experience in higher education administration, student services, or student advising
• Familiarity with Salesforce and student record systems such as Banner
